Raj Kumar Rai

Raj Kumar Rai is a filmmaker based in Kathmandu City of Nepal. After completing his Bachelor in Business Studies, he again rejoined Bachelor in Film Studies to pursue his film making passion and graduated in 2015 from Oscar International College. From the start of his college year, he has directed many short movies, and has also worked in two feature films as assistant director. His short movie ‘Heaven is Black’ made in 2015 was officially selected in ‘Rode International Film Festival 2015’ and made it to Top 10 in Non-English Category. It was also screened at Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) and bagged ‘Special Jury Mention’ in Short Fiction Category. He has just completed his another short movie ‘The Shaman’s Drum’ (Dhyangro) in 2016.
