Robin Sharma (Dahal) was born on 1989 September 5th at Patan Lalitpur Nepal with Father Kedar Nath Sharma and Mother Sakuntala Sharma. He completed his schoolwork by Lalitpur Madhyamik Vidyalaya LMV and later attained bachelor in film studies from Oscar International College of Film Studies, Kathmandu Nepal where he learned Cinematography as motion picture photography. He started his career with his teacher and colleagues DOP From Nepal Mr. Narendra Mainali through film MUKHAUTA as 4th AC and Gattho film by aroma Thapa and so on about 6 movies. It was 2015 a year after his graduation he got a fellowship from Asian Film Academy 2015 South Korea where he learned cinematography for 18 days and made a short movie called Meet Sohee which was premiered in BIFF Busan international film festival 2015 at this stage his graduation project as dop was Love? lust? Life got a chance to showcase in student corners of the Cannes Film Festival 2016. After returning from AFA he worked for Hamrobox an independent filmmakers team from Nepal a short film Lacchamanya an Awadhi language film from far west Nepal which won the audience choice award in Ekadeshma Film festival in 2017 held in Kathmandu Nepal. In 2016 he enrolled himself as a worker in-camera person field in state channel called Nepal Television as a Camera Person to date. He also work as camera teacher and also give visual storytelling classes in rural parts of Nepal as in 2019 he visited Karnali Province of Nepal at Mugu with collaboration with KARNALI Art center he touted camera and its use for photography and videography for daily use with mobile devices for rural people for media and expression theme to “Tell The Stories of Unspoken” a workshop organized in 2019. He is hardworking and a keen person and a visual enthusiast and dot timer working and pushing himself for the achievements of Nepali Cinema.

He loves very very short movie concepts and wants to work in a team for creative venture to bring dreams into reality through lenses.
